Instead of trying to rank the athletes or pick the winners like many are doing, we decided to do something that makes us much happier - which is to highlight five Olympia-qualified female bodybuilders who exhibit the best qualities of FigureRX. We support those athletes who are able to combine mass and symmetry, hardness and conditioning, and feminity and presentation. And then look marketable in person the next day at the Expo

. We're not saying that the other athletes we haven't chosen don't do that, we've just picked five that we think do. We also like crossover power lifters because that means the muscles aren't just for show, there is a heck of a lot of substance too. The athletes we pick may or not win the first place trophy (some have a chance) but they are all great for the sport and if they were out there more often, front and center, we think it would be good for everyone in the fitness community.
This is not meant to be a slight to any of the other competitors, these are just five bodybuilders who we really like (if you disagree please keep in mind that we are a figure and fitness site

). In that spirit, we want to give a special shout-out to the following competitors, in alphabetical order:
Doctor Lisa Aukland - USA (Maryland)
Lisa's Web Site
Lisa has been able to improve each year, putting on size while remaining symmetrical, and she also has a history of competing in powerlifting. She holds a doctorate in pharmacy with highest honors from the University of Maryland. We also like what Lisa has been doing this year to honor one of the great photographers and IFBB historians with the Steve Wennerstrom Recognition Award.
Recent Career Highlights:
2007 IFBB Atlantic City Pro, 1st place heavies
2007 IFBB Ms. International, 4th place
2006 IFBB Ms. Olympia, 5th place
2006 IFBB Atlantic City Pro, 1st place
Tazzie Colomb - USA (Louisiana)
Tazzie's Web Site
Tazzie received her pro card in the early 1990's but has recently stepped up her competition career big time, with a trip to the Olympia stage last year and a first place class win at the Europa in 2007. Her physique is an exhibition of muscle maturity and quality at its best. Tazzie's powerlifting background includes a 404 pound bench press, but since the peak of her powerlifting days she has refined her symmetrical physique and she came in smaller and tighter in Dallas to take the heavyweight class at the Europa.
Recent Career Highlights:
2007 IFBB Europa Super Show, 1st place heavies
2006 IFBB Ms. Olympia, 11th place
2006 IFBB Atlantic City Pro, 3rd place
Sarah Dunlap - USA (Illinois)
Sarah's Web Site
Sarah is one of our favorite bodybuilders anywhere, and we're not just saying that because she is a local Chicago girl. She was a gymnast before bodybuilding and is simply a genetic marvel who skyrocketed to a pro card by winning the overall at Nationals in 2002 while only 22 years old. After a few years of refinements Sarah stepped onto the stage this year and won the overall at the Jan Tana. Sure we know it's a little early, but we'd love to see her challenge for the top five during her first trip to the Olympia stage.
Recent Career Highlights:
2007 IFBB Jan Tana Classic, 1st place lightweight and overall
2005 IFBB Charlotte Pro, 3rd place heavyweight
2002 NPC Nationals, 1st place heavyweight and overall
2002 NPC Junior Nationals, 1st place heavyweight and overall
Heather Policky (Armbrust) - USA (Colorado)
Heather's Web Site
If you like your female bodybuilding physiques to be incredible and almost unattainable, then Heather Policky has to be one of your favorites. She has it all, including quad development that would be the envy of most male bodybuilders. Once the powers that be allowed her to win her long overdue pro card Heather skyrocketed to the top with wins at the pro level and a top three finish at the 2007 Arnold. We think she deserves to challenge for the Olympia title, and will as long as politics are set aside.
Recent Career Highlights:
2007 IFBB Ms. International (Arnold), 3rd place
2007 IFBB Sacramento Grand Prix, 1st heavyweight and overall
2006 NPC USA Championships, 1st place heavyweight and overall
Annie Rivieccio - USA (Georgia)
Annie's Web Site
Annie is another athlete who waited way too long to win her pro card, but since then she has proven over and over again that she belongs at the top of the pro stage and she has one of the best physiques in the pro ranks. In fact she placed 3rd at the Olympia last year and has a shot at the title again in 2007. Annie is a class act and a top notch photographer who works with Andy at AMG to develop content for MuscleAngels.com, and she is also an expert personal trainer assisting numerous amateur athletes with their contest prep.
Recent Career Highlights:
2007 IFBB Ms. International (Arnold), 7th place
2006 IFBB Ms. Olympia, 3rd place
2006 IFBB Ms. International (Arnold), 7th place
