Continuing our theme of
everyone on
Team FigureRX being superheroes, we thought we would highlight and summarize
Ali Huston's powerlifting background. Ali started out wanting to compete in figure, but she took a little detour into powerlifting and happened to set numerous teenage world records along the way!!
So you can get a sense of her greatness, here's a list of the top 20 all time best female deadlifts and squats for her weight class. Ali appears on both lists - as a teenager. And keep in mind that this is in the 181 lb weight class, she also set world records in other lighter weight classes as she moved up the ranks. Take the lifts you see below and add an impressive 275 lb bench press and you get a three lift total that comes close to being in the top twenty all time. Ali's birth date is December 30, 1985 so she was 19 years old at the time of these lifts in 2005.

At the American Powerlifting Federation (APF) Senior Nationals in Detroit in June 2005 it looks like Ali scored an official three lift total of 610, which would be super easy for her even at her current figure competitor weight. (

This is a pretty incredible and underexposed sport, especially for females, and we look forward to spotlighting it more once we launch
PowerliftingRX. Until then, get ready to see Ali Huston rock the figure stage along with
Team FigureRX in 2008.
