Hey all, this weekend i'll be attending FemSport in Vancouver, B.C. to compete as, i believe, the only American this year... Which means next year some of you ladies have to go with me!!! This year there is a team aspect to the competition... unfortunately, I was unable to pull together another two girls for Team USA... starting with my sister who will instead be traveling to Osaka, Japan this weekend to compete in the Track and Field World Championships over the next two weeks! Although i'm not sure if they will do it again this year, it was broadcast live on the internet last year (i'll see if i can find it) for anybody who's bored sometime tomorrow afternoon! I took second place at the event last year, Wish me luck!

Haha, sweet, i didn't know anybody had pics up yet!!! Weekend was awesome, i definitely felt the effects of flying in the night before... due to storms in the midwest, we were grounded and i barely made it in, just caught the last shuttle from Seattle to Vancouver and made it to the hotel in time to go to sleep around 2:30... woke up at 6 am (that's still 9 am in NY and i just couldn't sleep anymore!) and started the competition around 11... It was a cold rainy Canadian day, but we had an absolute blast in Robeson Square... I think i did somewhere around 42 curls in one minute - 50 pounds never felt so heavy!!! We did 50 box jumps for time, had to drag a tire (85 pounds for me!) along a conveyor belt runway, the obstacle course, kettlebell shuttle run (like the Atlas in Strongman competitions), and of course, the team tug-of-war! The tug-of-war as a team was an absolute blast, and with Roseanne Desmarais in our corner, we dominated! She did an absolutely amazing job, taking over fellow Canadian Meghan Callaway by only a point and a half (Meghan trains sport specific for these competitions!)
At the end of the day, we were all fully exhausted, and enjoyed a nice team dinner and a short amount of relaxation - it was great to get to hang out and chat with the amazing girls i met last year at the same event... before heading off to bed to squeeze in a shoot with Tre for FemFlex and heading back out to the airport to return home - probably a record of some kind - 21 hours of traveling to spend about 33 hours in Canada... I have to say it was all worth it though!

Last year they held a competition in February as well... Maybe we should all hit it up 'off season' and really take over the world! Although it probably wasn't quite as detrimental as the 4 hours of sleep i got the night before, i can't imagine that 6 months of dieting helped me anywhere... okay, maybe getting off the ground on those box jumps _________________ Jamie Reed

Are you back in Jersey? How was Sweden?
I just wanted to say thanks for the info on Weiferd. I ended up doing a shoot with him in NYC last weekend, and it was so much fun. And you were right, we got a ton of good shots.
Anyways, one more week for me until AC
I'm going to be doing a few shoots there....I will send you an e-mail so maybe we can meet up sometime in the next week (I may need to take you up on the closet raid offer )

Do you know which NY Giant will be at the gym event yet?
The cards are in the design process right now ..... won't be ready by next week but soon.
My fantasy football team is off to an auspicious start ... we have Tampa RB Cadillac Williams in both leagues and he was sitting next to Danielle in a salon yesterday getting a pedicure! It is not a good sign when one of your top three backs is taking a beauty break three days before the season kickoff!!  Thankfully he was not getting his toes painted!

Hi Jamie
What gym opening will you be working at?
I'm going to be at Apollon on Sunday. I have tomorrow off from training...just routine practice, which i do somewhere else. I'm done with cardio too, so I will have lots of free time on Sunday after my workout, although I may try to get in another routine workout. I'm usually at Apollon around 11-ish, but it sometimes changes.
I'm not sure yet who I'm shooting with...Stephen said I've had lots of offers, so we have to decide and see what my schedule is like...I guess thats a good thing, LOL.
Oh, and about the drive to AC, honestly, as a Jersey girl, I am ashamed to say that I have never actually been there 
But I know Wildwood is about 2 hours, and I don't think AC is too much further.
I'll be in touch soon, maybe see you Sunday?

Yeah, we'd tossed that idea around a bit this year as well, just too much stuff going on!!! I didn't even make up my mind to go until the week of, my grandma died the weekend before and i kind of dropped everything else... Next year we'll make a big weekend of it! USA vs. the World!!! They held one in February last year too, that may be better if we're all 'off season'!!! I don't know that 6 months of dieting fed the rocket fuel!
