Every month we receive an e-mail from Muscle and Fitness Hers magazine, which usually gets caught in the spam catcher, asking us to vote for one of two different covers. Last month, for the first time, we didn't vote because we couldn't decide, we liked both options too much!

Jelena Abbou is the type of athlete the IFBB should be marketing like crazy as a face of the sport, and not only are we glad that she was selected for this cover but we're thankful that MandF decided to continue publication. The magazine is only available on the newstands, not by subscription, but they do a great job of presenting a little more muscle than some of the other female fitness mags and they also feature more well known top level stars who compete within the NPC and IFBB.
Jelena is a member of the pro card class of 2006 (see all of the athletes in our ranking section
here) by virtue of her second place finish in Class D at NPC Nationals. She has been steadily moving up the pro ranks and most recently placed 7th at both the Atlantic City Pro Figure and the New York Pro Figure. We hope that she will be hitting the stage again this year and that she'll get the look and placings that she deserves from the judges.
