Yaaayyy...you made it over here!
Thanks so much for your kind comments. So Lisa competed at the Golds, does that mean you guys are from NJ? I live in the Woodbridge area and train at a gym in Rahway (pyramid club) and also at a gym in Edison (Apollon).
And to reply to the post on MD....when they first brought the girls out, the 3 thats stood out (to me) were #13, #47, and #48 (Lisa)....We were sitting towards the back, but to me, she just seemed to have something special...a great balance and overall package...physique, suits, hair, presence, everything. She definitely stood out to me and I would have had her top 3....and she seemd to have phenominal shoulders and tight legs. I think she will do well at the national level.
I competed at the Golds last year. It was my first show ever and I did figure and placed 6th. Then I decided to make the switch to fitness, had a nice productive off-season, and the rest is history....
I mention this just in case Lisa was disappointed at all with her placing. She has a great structure, so if she continues to work hard, she will be very successful.
Good luck again and thanks for stopping by!!

How you took six anywhere is crazy!!!!!
Goes to show how subjective this sport really is
Lisa was down that night but was ready to compete again a day Later she had to reavuluate and realize it was her first show the judges didnt know her she had no name.
So we made sure she met the judges got in with some ggod people in the sport and so many people just like you Erin came up to her and told her dont quit you are going to do great in this sport. Hence the next week she beat alot of the same girls she had lost to the week before to qualify for Nationals. I think she will fare better on the National stage because of her muscles you never know what you are going to get at the qualifier level. I saw a girl win the entire show at an event last week who looked like she just came off the beach looked good but not an athletic physique.
Anyway thank you so much Lisa loved your look and would love to get together and train sometime her email is lisaperson33@comcast.net Erin you look awesome keep it up.
Oh yeah I forgot the suit that Lisa wore in the second show was Stacy Simons suit she has been a huge help in the past few weeks .
God Bless
Roe

Roe, your children are absolutely beautiful. I'm sure Kayla gets her enthusiasm from you and Lisa. You guys seem like such great people. And Lisa has definitely shown that anything is possible with hard work and dedication.
I do some personal training, and have a girl that would like to try and achieve a transformation similar to Lisa's. She is 21 years old and probably about 70+ pounds overweight. She works really hard and has lost some weight already, and the other day she asked me about competing. I told her if she was really serious about it, she should give herself at least one year to begin building a shape and loisng fat, before she would even begin a contest prep (she was a dancer in high school, but just recently began weight training). And then maybe shoot for a show next spring/summer (2009). Either way, I told her she should have a plan.
I really think she could do it if she really was serious about it. I was wondering if you have any advice for her, or for me to share with her?
Thanks so much!

Hey Erin
First Things First Happy Turkey Day.
With you helping her your girl will be fine. I do have some Advice though.
You pick a show for to do prob the first show in NJ of 09 if she needs that much time. This will give her the goal that she needs to traion and eat correct.
Make sure you see her diet or even give it to her yourself . All ways keep her guesing when it comes to training her. Make sure her training is intense. Lisas training was very fast paced with moderate weights. Her heart rate was always up because she had so much to lose. At 12 weeks out she was doing cardio 2 xs daily.
I tell you with you training her she cant fail just stay on top of her.
Hey here is my email and Lisas if you have any questions please email us
