Check out all the latest information and links regarding the 2008 NPC National Figure, Fitness and Women's Bodybuilding Schedule HERE.

As IFBB Fitness Pro and expert show expeditor Kim Klein indicated at the 2007 USA Championships in Las Vegas (see our USA contest report), there will be new height classes for NPC national level figure shows and as of this weekend that has now been confirmed by sources in the NPC. We had noticed at the shows in 2007 that the competitor numbers were highest in Classes A and F and we suggested changing the height classes to smooth things out.

Class A: Up to and including 5'1”
Class B: Over 5'1” and up to and including 5'2-1/2”
Class C: Over 5'2-1/2” and up to and including 5'4”
Class D: Over 5'4” and up to and including 5'5-1/2”
Class E: Over 5'5-1/2” and up to and including 5'7”
Class F: Over 5'7”

This presents a few new challenges for our FigureRX 2008 NPC and CBBF athlete media guide so we may be contacting you to clarify your height so we can place you in the correct class!!

Below you will find some additional rule clarification that we do not believe has changed.

At national qualifying figure events, the top five (5) finishers in each height class will be eligible to compete at Junior USA's in Charleston, Teen Collegiate and Masters in Pittsburgh, and Team Universe in New York. The top three (3) finishers in each height class will be eligible to compete at Junior Nationals in Chicago, USA's in Las Vegas, and National Figure in Atlanta. Eligibility is good for two calendar years. In order to be a national qualifier (and please e-mail our staff at CarrieRX@verizon.net if you need clarification) the figure show must be held in conjunction with a bodybuilding national qualifer.

Height classes for all state and local shows with two (2) classes:
Class A: Up to and including 5'4”
Class B: Over 5'4”

Height classes for all state and local shows with three (3) classes:
Class A: Up to and including 5'4”
Class B: Over 5'4” and up to and including 5'6”
Class C: Over 5'6”

Height classes for all state and local shows with four (4) classes:
Class A: Up to and including 5'2”
Class B: Over 5'2” and up to and including 5'4”
Class C: Over 5'4” and up to and including 5'6”
Class D: Over 5'6”
