Jenn Stuczynski sets U.S. Mark in Pole Vault

Stuczynski, the defending indoor national champion, also won the event at last
week's Millrose Games in New York, clearing 15-5 1/2.
"We've been trying (to break the record) for the last three years and finally
tonight she broke it," said Stuczynski's coach Rick Suhr. "It was a very good
night. It's a great jump and she's right where she needs to be."
American Stacy Dragila, the 2000 Olympic gold medalist, finished second.
Stuczynski, the Olympic silver medalist at the 2008 Beijing Games who also
holds the American outdoor record, earned $25,000 from the sponsors of the
Boston meet for breaking an American record.
