"We've been trying (to break the record) for the last three years and finally tonight she broke it," said Stuczynski's coach Rick Suhr. "It was a very good night. It's a great jump and she's right where she needs to be." American Stacy Dragila, the 2000 Olympic gold medalist, finished second. Stuczynski, the Olympic silver medalist at the 2008 Beijing Games who also holds the American outdoor record, earned $25,000 from the sponsors of the Boston meet for breaking an American record.
