Chicago native Beth Horn -- ''Venom'' on TV's ''American Gladiators'' -- is an ambassador for USA Gymnastics and will also be making appearances nationwide at auto shows.

Beth Horn is doing cartwheels over her latest gig.

Perhaps even literally.

The Chicago native -- ''Venom'' on TV's ''American Gladiators'' -- is an ambassador for USA Gymnastics.

''I will be at some events with the Chicago Park District in January,'' she said after a workout at HiFi Personal Fitness on North Avenue. ''I'll also be at the American Cup at the Sears Centre [Feb. 21 in Hoffman Estates].''

To compete?

''I'll be watching in awe,'' the former high school and college gymnast at Ball State University said.

Before then, she and ''Wolf'' from ''Gladiators'' will be making the auto show circuit, including Chicago's next month.

''We're not going to go in costume,'' Horn said. ''Meet fans and sign autographs. It's going to be fun.''

As for Horn's other endeavors?

''Training hard [under the guidance of fitness guru/life coach Bob Dixon],'' she said. ''I've got some acting stuff coming up, too.''

Ah, the next Angelina Jolie?

''I had a dream about her the other night,'' she said.

Just one more thing that Beth and the rest of us have in common.
