Bodybuilding Weekly: Lee Priest Denied IFBB Reinstatement Once Again Lee Priest Denied IFBB Reinstatement Once Again ================================================================================ Hardbodies News on 08 April, 2008 04:31:00 April 8, 2008 Lee Priest has again been denied reinstatement by the IFBB, according to a letter from the IFBB released by Flex Online. Lee was last denied reinstatement in September 2007. To see the minutes of that meeting please go HERE. At the time of last year's vote by the IFBB Professional Committee, on September 27th in Las Vegas, Lee had already served a full 12 month suspension. Lee had some support on the committee but not enough to win the majority of the eleven votes that would have been required for reinstatement. After the vote it was announced that the issue of his reinstatement would be revisited in six months. That attempt at early reinstatement has been categorically denied. As a result, it will not be possible for Lee to qualify to be on stage at the 2008 Olympia. If he is reinstated the day after the show, his reinstatement would be effective immediately meaning he could choose to return at one of the European contests following the Olympia. As of now, the Holland Grand Prix is slated to follow the Olympia with one more European contest likely to be added. Lee Priest was originally suspended for a violation of Article 1.7 of the IFBB Professional League Rules, which prohibits IFBB athletes from competing in non-sanctioned or non-approved "competition events."
