Bodybuilding Weekly: Contest Preview - 2008 IFBB Pittsburgh Pro Figure Contest Preview - 2008 IFBB Pittsburgh Pro Figure ================================================================================ Hardbodies News on 26 April, 2008 07:41:00 April 25, 2008 Welcome to the FigureRX contest preview for the first major post-Arnold figure show of the season, the IFBB Pittsburgh Pro! We think that this lineup is an excellent indication of what we may see all year - this show is stacked! Between comebacks, past champions, professional debuts and Olympia and Arnold stars, the competition for the top five (and especially the top three Olympia qualifying spots) will be intense. Picking a top five for this show led to a lot of arguments in the corner conference room! The Pittsburgh Pro tends to carry a little extra weight because it has been around a while and is so close to the mother ship. The National Physique Committee is based in Pittsburgh, and the city is also the corporate headquarters of GNC. So many professional male bodybuilders answered the call to guest pose for the show it looks like a mini-Olympia, or at least a mini-New Zealand Grand Prix. In other words this is a serious event, housed in one of the more unique contest venues around - Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hall. If you travel to Pittsburgh take some time to look around and admire the memorial, one of the oldest and largest in the country to honor our veterans. If you don't arrive in the City at night, try to work your schedule so you can drive from the outskirts and through the Fort Pitt Tunnel, into a sudden, breathtaking night-time view of the three rivers and the Pittsburgh skyline.
