THE IFBB Pro League 2008 season will have the addition of Barbadian pros vying for top spots in various Bodybuilding, Fitness and Figure shows. With only a few shows remaining in the season, Lyndon Belgrave, Jerry Nicholls and Rosalind Vanterpool will collectively be competing in four Professional shows.
After a two year break from the Professional ranks, Lyndon Belgrave Mr. CAC 2002, will be flexing his redefined 230lbs of muscle at the Pro Bodybuilding Weekly Championships in Florida on August 9th, followed by the Europa Supershow in Texas on August 15th and 16th.
Mr. CAC 2005 Jerry Nicholls will also be competing at the Pro Bodybuilding Weekly Championships and the Europa Supershow. Jerry competed in his first Pro show in 2007 at the Europa Supershow in Dallas, and will be focusing on breaking into the top 10 this year.
In 2007, Rosalind Vanterpool, Ms. Fitness CAC Short Class 2005 started her Professional Fitness career. Consistently higher scores in the figure segments in comparison to the routine segments of the competitions entered last year, coupled with the lack of a gymnastics trainer, has encouraged the decision to compete in Pro Figure this year. This transition from Fitness to Figure will mean a longer, leaner, more tapered physique. As a female IFBB Professional, Vanterpool is allowed to compete in Fitness, Figure or female Bodybuilding within a calendar year.
For the 2008 season Rosalind Vanterpool will be strutting her 32-26-36, 126lbs figure in three IFBB Pro shows and one International show, starting with the Europa Supershow, the New York Pro Figure in New York on September 5th and 6th, directly followed by the Atlantic City Pro Figure and Atlantic City Figure Masters both in New Jersey on September 12th and 13th.

Without sponsorship and support these athletes would never be able to compete for Barbados at the highest level of their sport. Rosalind Vanterpool, Lyndon Belgrave, Jerry Nicholls and their respective management would sincerely like to thank their sponsors: Archer's Hall Design Centre, Crane & Equipment, Merville Lynch Productions, SOJE/Lonsdale Communications Inc, Chateau De Beaute, Dottin Construction, Mr. Joseph Tudor, Charles Yarde , Prescription Plus, Indar Weir Travel Centre, Steven Nicholls, George Griffith and all persons involved.
