Whats going on in the world of female bodybuilding and options away from the contest grind.

Okay so I know it you know it for God's sake we all know there is no money directly related to the sport of female bodybuilding ... we have to make choices to survive.  As of late I have been traveling to auditions and performances with my girl posse Muscle Goddess Lauren Powers and my girl from Fat to Fabulous the darling Emery Miller. We were cast on a network not to be named as of yet against as is our plight against little people which is fine both of our perspective groups know we are being made fun of ... just pay us for our time ... you would think that's a no brainer but I am finding on the outside of our sport it's not easy to survive or to explain or have our public adore us as the delightful humans that every girl I know in the sport is.  What's up with that?

What's up with first poking fun when you have no idea what you're talking about and next not paying for the opportunity?  I have sites contact me all the time saying I would love to book time to shoot you ... but you understand that I can't pay you because my site is free??? Uh no, my bills are due and my life is not free, this body costs me on the daily bub so no my time nor my photos are free, you don't go to the grocery store and ask for free stuff, you don't go to you car guy and say hey dude how about a free car for the week. I didn't grasp the full value of this issue so to speak until I got in a car wreck, I was rear ended and the lady freaked out because she saw my body but focused on my calves and she was in the entertainment industry and she was like "girl you need to get those things individually insured!" I had never really considered that I am a product, its hard to imagaine that you are not you anymore but something to be sold and bought like a box of tide..but yes we are!  And until we as a collective group of women who are strong, beautiful and empowered..after all they want what we have, we just don't demand they buy it!

We have to set the standards for a brave new world in which we rule, our price, how we are bought and sold, how our content is used and how and who we let poke fun! I am not saying giving a few shots at an expo to a fan is out but how are we expected to drive traffic to our websites, gain income from our image or pay for our shows if we don't at some point say enough is enough, no one rides for free..you know the saying right.  So the next time you see that image of female supreme in a magazine, or a site or in person, know it's thousands of hours in the gym, endless posing, God knows how much food shoveled in to keep it up, and think, man how can I help keep these girls on stage, on tv, in projects and alive on the face of this earth ... I am telling you we are like unicorns, very few, hard to find and have magical powers if you are lucky enough to know us.  I will be writing frequently on topics that please me or for this day displease me, suggestions are okay but it is what it is folks the facts right in front of the nose on your face .... love from the Queen.
