Figure Champion Jennifer DiDonato
Jennifer DiDonato became the first Open Figure champion of the 2009 Michigan season opener, the 2009 NPC Michigan Bodybuilding, Fitness, Figure and Bikini Championships. This season opening event was produced by Rick Romeo at the venerable Redford Theater in Detroit. The event also included the first NPC Bikini Division contestants for Michigan.

Holly Huzinga stands at the center with her trophy sword as champion of the new NPC Bikini Division at the Novice Michigan, the season opening event for Michigan. Light-heavyweight Terence Lewis won the Master's Bodybuilding Division, as well as, the overall Open Novice Michigan championship. Wendy Taylor won the women's Open Bodybuilding and the Master's Division. Other winners at the event include:

Masters Figure Division: Tina Prinzi
Short Figure: Jennifer DiDonato
Medium Class: Maria Luiza Zmikly
Tall Class: Rebecca Book
