Phil Heath placed third to Dexter Jackson and Jay Cutler at the 2008 Olympia and told the audience in Kalamazoo on Saturday, October 11, "I will be at the 2009 Olympia". Phil is happy with the progress he has made this year and did not withhold any effort to please the audience with a demonstration of his exceptional physique. Phil Heath attempted to give each individual camera an opportunity to capture a personal photo during an energetic personable exhibition among the audience. Phil was at the theater to help inagurate the 2008 Southwest Michigan Bodybuilding and the Tracy Traskos Figure Classic.
