Phil is happy with the progress he has made this year and did not withhold any effort to please the audience with a demonstration of his exceptional physique. Phil Heath attempted to give each individual camera an opportunity to capture a personal photo during an energetic personable exhibition among the audience. Phil was at the theater to help inagurate the 2008 Southwest Michigan Bodybuilding and the Tracy Traskos Figure Classic. Hans VanderGronden and Tracy Traskos, with their capable production staff, produced the Open Southwest Michigan to give an opportunity to competitors from all of Michigan to compete with local talent and, hopefully, to inspire even more activity in this part of Michigan. This event should grow and attain a premier status in Michigan. The first overall champions from the Southwest Michigan and Tracy Traskos Classic were short class Figure Stephanie Sabin, women's heavyweight bodybuilder Angela Edwards and men's heavyweight Chris Bohn.
