This year in Michigan has seen the development of regional open competitions,
including the Northern, Mid-Michigan, Southwest and the Western. These events
are in addition to legacy regional events in the same geographical area which
may have occured at a different time of the year. In the case of the 2008
Western Michigan Natural Bodybuilding, Fitness and Figure Championships, the
earlier event was the 2008 Grand Rapids Bodybuilding, Figure and Fitness
Championships in April.
The finalists from the 2008 Western Michigan event in Grand Rapids include the
overall Figure Medium Class Jamie Taylor. Women's Open Bodybuilding Middleweight
Amber Kelly and the Men's Open Bodybuilding Heavyweight John Sheif, as well as,
the first place division and class winners are given below. Figure
